Excerpt from Walt Whitman’s There was a Child went Forth with a community theme.
And the old drunkard staggering home from the out-house of the tavern, whence he had lately risen,
And the school-mistress that pass’d on her way to the school,
And the friendly boys that pass’d—and the quarrelsome boys,
And the tidy and fresh-cheek’d girls—and the barefoot boy and girl,
And all the changes of city and country, wherever he went.

It’s very busy, I’ve noticed here in this community. Beeping, honking, chattering and engines moving. And a nice shining sun coming down right on me.

When I go out side I see bus going by I see poeple running for the bus I see poeple waitting for the bus like a tiger watting for it’s prey when the bus comes peolpe are getting off in a crowed and people trying to get first in the front door.

In my community I see people driving cars to work. That reminds me of busy people getting in and out of a busy subway.

I walk down the block of Mcdonald ave, I saw people looking for jobs they just stand there like homeless people.In that area there are a lot of Indian people. I could tell because the way they speak and the smell of their food.

I sometimes see a homeless man on the street begging for money. He may not have money but he does have joy inside of him.

Every time I come home from school I see people dancing next door from my house then I joined in ballet

I see women walking slowly or fast walking. Kids playing having fun. Ladies with scarves on their faces or heads, and old gramdmas with canes and hurt.

Some poeple just siting there and asking for money and poeple ignoring them some even take the poor man’s money and he was saving it.

Early in the morning as I pass the streets I see a little bit of people that look like zombies wondering in the streets.

Once I saw a little nest in the street it had little eggs inside
it. A red van was coming towards the nest so I ran and slid
because I had on my green and black heelies. These are shoes
that have wheels inside them.

I see goth people, homeless people, fancy people but mostly… I see classic people.
